Abrasive Cutting
Friday, November 9th, 2007Abrasive Cutting or rough cutting is the most commonly used method of sectioning materials for metallographic microscopic examination and other material investigation. The usual abrasive cutting uses consumable wheels which are considered the most popular method for routine metallographic sectioning with the aid of metallographic microscope because it is fast, exact and inexpensive. The feature of cut exterior obtained is generally superior to that obtained by other means and fewer following steps may be necessary. Metal core diamond blades complete the difficult requirements of particular applications such as ceramics, rocks, very hard metallics and printed circuit boards, the details of these metals can be viewed under metallographic microscope.
